Dengue Keep Karachi Unrest ~ 164 Victims



 
Karachi: More than 165 cases of Dengue have been reported in Sindh so far this year and 164 of these are from Karachi.
This was stated by the Commissioner Karachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh, on Friday.
He stressed that fostering the required awareness among the people is essential and so is the timely diagnosis, prevention and treatment.
The Commissioner said that the rainy season appears to be conducive for the growth of Dengue virus and that during this period more cases come to the fore.

  
KARACHI  - At least thirteen new cases of dengue have been registered in Karachi on Tuesday.
According to a private news channel, the dengue fever had started attack and killing people in the country as several people had died recently in most areas of Karachi. Sindh dengue surveillance cell declared in a report that, although government had finalized its preparations towards controlling the disease, dengue virus had been found in 13 more people in different areas of city in current week, making the toll to 128 patients in the year. The doctors had strongly advised the people to get anti-mosquito spray; close windows so mosquitoes could not enter in rooms, cover all food items as well as water pots to avoid the disease.
